MAKING FRIENDS
“Friends come and go. Enemies accumulate.” This saying is true. But
it is always better to make friends than to make enemies.
Many does not notice that
successful men and women in the society have a lot of friends. On the other
hand, those who always failed are those who find only few of them.
Friends can help you a lot. To
mention a few, among others, your transaction can be expedited if you have a
friend who can assist you. Finding solutions to personal problems can be made
easy if you have a friend who can turn to. Even at the time of your financial
difficulty, you look after a friend who can lend you a help.
The more you have friends, the
more you have connections. It is only a matter of personal attitude.
If you are convivial, you can
make friends easily. If you also have a cheerful disposition when you mingle in
front of the many, yes, you can make friends either. If you are smart, likewise
you can make friends. And if you are kind, even in the midst of silence, you
can make friends.
Making friends is a very nice and
wonderful thing to do. Make a lot them.

THE ROLE OF ENTREPRENEURS TOWARDS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
According to J.B. Say, entrepreneurs are economic agents who unite all
means of production- land of one, the labor of another and the capital of yet
another and thus produces a product. By selling the product in the market they
pay rent of land, wages to labor, interest on capital and what remain are their
profits. They shift economic resources out of an area of lower and into an area
of higher productivity and greater yield.
Based on studies,
the economic development of a country can be measured on the poverty level and
unemployment rate of the people. Lower rate is an indication either that many people
do not have sufficient food to eat daily, or the basic needs of the family are
not being adequately provided or there maybe failure of the parents to send their children to
school, among others. The effect of sluggish economic growth incline many to seek
employment across the borders to look for job opportunities. Much worse, domestically, it become now the cause why many had
attempt to commit crimes of stealing.
There is no gainsaying that if people have their own job, there will be economic security. They will now have their own source of income. In effect,
they can now afford to buy primary necessities of their families such as
food and clothing. Providing decent shelter will no longer be a problem. Parents will not be constraint financially
to send their children to school providing them education. One may even afford to
buy a vehicle for personal or for family use.
Seeking
employment is truly difficult if there are only few job opportunities. Otherwise
that would not be the case. Hence, entrepreneurs play an important role to
address economic problems, either in the family or in general in the country.
Business establishments can offer or create thousands of job opportunities for
many. If all are employed and have enough income, such will certainly alleviate poverty across the
country.
Besides the job opportunities it
can offer, business establishments can greatly help the existing government. More revenues can be raise by the latter which in turn be used in providing basic services to the people. These are good reciprocal duties and obligations.
Entrepreneurs are
the keys to economic development. The direction of national
economies, industry or markets can be altered by them.

REACHING DREAMS
The most wonderful thing that
ever man can accomplish in his life is to reach his dreams.
Aim high! Shoot for a star! These
are inspirational words that often we can hear as an advice the moment we speak
on future careers, business plans, and personal goals. Indeed, hearing these
words will boost your motivation and morale to continue pursuing your dreams. I
remember the time when I was a student in college, these are often my advice to
my classmates and friends: “The poorest
person in the world are those without dreams in life. We live only once. As
soon as our time pass by, it will never return. Therefore, we must work hard on
our task at hand. Keep going. Though the odds and adversities may seem
insurmountable, yet never quit. There may be a time when we fail, but giving up
will surely lead to nothing. As the saying goes- a quitter never win, a winner
never quit.”
Dreams are not easy to reach. It
cost a lot of tears, patience, resources, and even pain. But it can be reach.

FINDING ROAD TO SUCCESS (Part II)
Without a vision, man’s life will
surely end in failure. Every organization will run out the possibility of
reaching their dreams. A traveler will be in journey of nowhere. Everyone will
be blinded by unclear direction. Thus, a vision therefore is indispensable
towards the attainment of genuine success.
Once vision has been set, by the
organization or individually, the next move is to fasten the seat belts. In other words, the right time has come to make
careful preparations by making plans, measures, initiatives and specific time frame.
Upon formulation thereof, its goal should be clearly defined. Goals should
therefore be hit. And that it should served as ones’ mission.
Once everything has already been set, ones’
journey now begins. Having already a
vivid vision one can now find and begin stepping on the road to success.
While in the road, certainly one will experience
beyond what he expected. In some occasion, one might get frustrated because of
so many untoward incidents. But it must be remembered that the same is just
normal. Even an ordinary traveler experienced the same thing. Either he may get
stranded, or lost his ticket while in the course of his trip. Some have even
experienced travel delay for several days due to bad weather conditions.
However, the only thing that is left for him is to have patience and continue
his journey.
The road to success, once found, one must step and move forward and he will surely get there.

FINDING ROAD TO SUCCESS (Part 1)
In all endeavors of man, he needs
to struggle. After struggling, there are always consequences. Many great men in
the society tell us the story on how they struggle and win. Their history and
experience gave us insight and learning tempting us to follow their steps or
example. Indeed, many of us living today are adapting their philosophy and
teachings.
But always the end of their story
is success, in which there are hundreds of definitions about it, depending on
man’s manifold experiences be that on wars, business, relationships, politics,
and among others.
But where is the road to success?
And how do we find it?
As a man, we live and travel in
this world. We have our own journey depending on our geographical location,
nationality, business, positions, and livelihood. Yet many of us are not
certain if the unique individual road that we travel lead us to correct
direction that we expected or dreamed of.
Right now, wherever you are,
pause and think and ponder this. Many of us do not have visions in our life. Hence
many of us failed in our endeavors, despite the many success stories of men.
Thus, to find the road to
success, firstly, one must have a vision in his life. The vision is like an
ending, the ending of one’s journey. For an organization, it is the last level or
stage by which the management dreamed of.

HOW TO STUDY
Francis S. Bacon in his article
“Of Studies” had presented an articulated view about studies. He is precisely
correct when he mentioned about the nature, purpose, and where it will lead.
However, it cannot be gainsaid that there are ineffective ways as to how others,
particularly students, do it especially in the course of their academic
endeavors. Their improper manner of doing “studies” do not help them after all.
As regard to the manner for
effective studies, particularly for students, the following tips are helpful:
When you study, do not just read.
You should understand the substance or context in the sentence or paragraph
detail by detail. It is helpful that once you read every single line, ask yourself
questions relative thereto, if there are points which are not clear to you.
Then try to find its answer. Never let go the line, sentence or paragraph which
are not clear to you.
The next thing that you should do
after going through the whole paragraph is try to explain it by yourself, or discuss
it if possible. If you cannot remember the exact words the author of the book
is using, at least you can explain the same using your own words but the same
in substance. In this manner, you will have the guts and confidence that you
can expressly deliver the important points thereof.
Do not memorize. It will only
cause you headache. If these are legal or medical terms that need to be
memorize, it is helpful to familiarize it by reading the words repeatedly.
After reading, ask yourself questions, and then recite. For mathematical
solutions, analyze the given problem carefully then practice solving, again and
again.
Studies will take time. But do
not worry, because you will enjoy it gradually. If your brain already feels
heavy, do not push its limit, despite that its capacity is infinite. Our brain
is like a machine. It needs rest when severely used. When relaxing, it is
helpful either to listen to your favorite music, sing or dance. It may be
awkward but these activities are effective distresser.
And most of all, before you start
to study, do not forget to pray.
